The LG G8 ThinQ
The LG G8 ThinQ will include a feature called Crystal Sound OLED (CSO). LG explains that this technology will use the G8 ThinQ’s OLED screen as an audio amplifier, vibrating the entire surface to produce sound at an “impressive volume”. LG says that because its CSO tech uses the entire screen, it offers improved clarity that’ll make voices easier to discern.
With CSO, the LG G8 ThinQ can offer two-channel audio that utilizes both the screen and a bottom speaker. This bottom speaker can add bass to speakerphone calls, too. And in addition to offering improved audio,
LG says that the G8 ThinQ is the first LG phone to offer DTS:X 3D Surround Sound that can emulate a 7.1-channel system with or without headphones. There’s a Hi-Fi Quad DAC that can up-scale most audio files, too, and Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) support for high-quality audio streaming. LG is also using a Boombox Speaker in the G8.
LG says that the G8 ThinQ will be shown at MWC later this month, so we don’t have to wait long.
